Snowmobiling Last Weekend

Our New Toys

Some may find this unfair but I am completely happy with it. Cory and I both got new toys this month.

Here is mine:

Take note of the old one:

Here is Cory's:

I told Cory that he can use mine if I can use his :) (honestly he loads it more than I do)

The Past Few Months in Pictures

Ok...so I have not been very good at updating our blog lately. I honestly had plenty of things to blog about, but I just wasn't motivated to post anything. So here is a quick update, using mostly pictures to let everyone know what we have been up to lately.

This is what Teryx enjoyed doing over the holidays....sleeping under the Christmas tree and on the freshly folded laundry.

We went tubing at Soldier Hollow with Cory's family.

My sister had a baby girl on January 20th. Her name is Shaylee. She is a cutie!

Cory got in a round of golf while we were in St. George visiting Scott, Hailey, & Shaylee.

We visited Hoover Dam during our annual Las Vegas trip...we were going to go on the tour...but the dam tour was $30 a person + $6 for parking! Needless to say we bypassed the tour and just took some dam pictures.

We ate at the Pink Taco for Mardi Gras, saw the Cirque de Solei show Ka, ate Italian ice cream at the Venetian, ate at our favorite restaurant...Fellini's, & got awesome cheesecake at The Cheescake Factory. Yeah, it appears we just go to Las Vegas to eat...hmmm?
And that is what we have been up to lately. I promise to update more often...no more laziness!

Hiking Adams Canyon

So I have decided to run the Bair Gutsman (10 mile run to the towers on the mountain above Kaysville) next August and also to run in a half marathon......what this means for you.....you will be seeing a lot of posts about hikes I go on. This week Teryx and I started at the East Mountain Wilderness Park (aka Vitacourse) and hiked over and up to the waterfall in Adams Canyon and then back down and finished the rest of the Vitacourse. We had a blast...Teryx loved it! We have been running in the mornings but this is the first hike he has been on so it totally wiped him out. (as you can see in the last picture) If anyone ever wants to join me on a hike just give me a call or leave a comment and I'll let you know where we are going!

Hiking Mt. Olympus

On Saturday I went on a hike with Angel, my good friend from college, and some of her friends from work. We hiked Mt. Olympus in Salt Lake. We had so much fun and it was great to give myself a challenge. I haven't hiked a lot lately and I just barely started using my elliptical so I was not in great shape for hiking and I could feel it. (and I can reeeally feel it today) Angel and I decided to start going on a hike once a week because we had so much fun....anyone that wants to come is more than welcome. Just let me know and I will let you know where we are going this Saturday. Here are a few pics from our hike this week:

Fall Is Finally Here!

This weekend Cory and I took a ride on the four wheelers, up Farmington Canyon, to see the leaves before they all fall off. It was gorgeous! There were so many colors and the clouds were sitting right on top of us! I was a nice peaceful ride...I am so glad we got a chance to go up before it starts getting too cold.

The Deer Hunt

Last weekend we went deer hunting up by Flaming Gorge. My family has gone hunting ever since I was born and when I was about seventeen I finally got a license and started carrying a gun too. I got a deer the first year I went and I have gotten one every other year since then.....until this year! My streak has been broken...we didn't even see a single freaking buck this year! I think it was way too warm and the bucks were still in the higher elevation. I am kinda bummed, but I guess the up side is that atleast we still got to go hunting and have one last camping trip for the year. I love spending time with my dad and brothers as well as Cory and our friend Andy. We always have the best time....I can't really explain why...you just have to be there to understand. Here are a few pics we took...

This is my dad telling us what the plan was for our mid morning hike through the woods. I was going to tell my mom that we were actually holding a church meeting, because it was Sunday, and that dad was leading the opening hymn. Do you think she would buy it?
